Someone
by Ethan Hugh
Having someone is not to have yourself
That is getting out of your comfort zone
That is having the humility to adjust
That is putting that pride down
That is recognizing the beauty of the other
That is having a new lifestyle
For indeed, someone occupies you
And by law of science, no two substances
Can occupy the same space at the same time
That is you cannot be the same you if you’re with someone
That is some water must be displaced
That is the volume of that someone will move you
That is the movement that will lead you to change
That is being displaced to be in the right place
Melting of ice to water is just like changing yourself
When your someone is around – classic cheating
For you cannot really have your entire self
Because of the reaction of your union
The togetherness you have when you have someone
Some of your properties will definitely be changed
When you have someone
That is a chemical change that changes you
That compositional transformation occurs within you
That is getting a new product – a new you
That is the combined properties of you and your someone
That is you must lose yourself when you have someone
With the evident sacrifice and mutualism
With the evident change and inspiration
When you have someone
That is someone you love.
